Kalu promises to win Abia for Tinubu

Ahead of the 2027 presidential election, a serving Senator, representing Abia North in the upper legislative chamber, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has assured President Bola Ahmed Tinubu that he will defeat the presidential candidates of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi; former Vice President Atiku Abubakar of the African Democratic Congress (ADC); and the presidential candidates of other political parties in Abia State in 2027.

According to him, there is no competitor against President Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

Speaking in his Igbere country home in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State, on Friday, while hosting stakeholders of his pro-political groups, Orji Uzor Kalu (OUK) Movement, Reality Organization and leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Kalu said he would not only campaign for the President across the 17 local government areas in the state, but would be fully involved in making sure that President Tinubu sweeps the polls in the state.

“I can assure you, just like President Tinubu has no competitor in 2027, APC as a party has no challenge. The opposition in the country is in tithers; they are yet to put their houses in order and do not have the capacity to challenge APC.

“Tinubu is what a good leader should be; he is not afraid of taking decisions, even at the cost of losing an election; he is taking hard decisions for the interest of the country.

“The President’s economic policies may not have taken Nigeria to where it should be, but we are getting there. It is true we are still battling with the micro economy, but the macro economy is doing well,” Kalu declared.
